Authors of German Steroid Handbook Arrested in International Pharmaceuticals Bust

The authors of the popular German-language steroid handbook entitled “Anabole Steroide – Das Schwarze Buch” (“Anabolic Steroids – The Black Book”) were recently arrested in connection with an underground steroid lab in Europe known as International Pharmaceuticals. This is a completely separate and distinct operation from the UGL operating in China under the same name.

The authors of “The Black Book” were identified by the Austrian Federal Criminal Office (BK) as German citizen “Lothar K” and Austrian citizen “Paul R.”. Together with “Thomas St”, the trio allegedly operated and distributed anabolic steroids worldwide under the IP-Europe label for almost two decades. [Read more…]

British Bodybuilder Avoids Prison After Importing Dianabol

A British competitive bodybuilder avoided prison time after police raided his home and found several thousand steroid pills and a price list. Darren Casey had imported two packages of Dianabol (methandienone) containing 1981 and 1996 tablets.

It is not illegal to import anabolic steroids for personal use in the United Kingdom. However, the sale and distribution of steroids is a serious crime. [Read more…]

Bodybuilder Steals Steroids from Pharmacy to Feed His Addiction

A British bodybuilder was arrested after he broke into a pharmacy and stole £2,673 worth of anabolic steroids. The Sunday Mercury website described Scott Gilbert as a “muscle-bound” bodybuilder whose obsession with steroids led him to steal steroids from the Superdrug pharmacy in Stone, Staffordshire. Marijuana Tip Leads to Florida Steroid Bust

The Collier County Sheriff’s Office’s Vice and Narcotics Bureau initiated there investigation of a Naples-area personal trainer and his wife after receiving an anonymous tip about marijuana dealing. The investigation expanded as evidence of steroid distribution emerged.

The Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant last week involving a SWAT team. The steroid raid was apparently the Florida small-town version of “shock and awe” as described by Lt. Harold Minch. [Read more…]

Operation Jellybean Steroid Prosecutions Run Into Problems in Canada

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Drug Section arrested numerous individuals suspected of involvement in anabolic steroid and other drug trafficking in a 2005-2007 joint forces investigation codenamed Operation Jellybean. The steroid bust was one of the largest in Canadian history and disrupted hundreds of thousands of dollars in anabolic steroids sales throughout New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and even Ontario. Owner of Infinity Longevity and Wellness Referral Service Pleads Guilty Again

Former police officer Anthony Forgione pleaded guilty once again to steroid-related charges while on probation for illegally selling anabolic steroids and human growth hormone through an anti-aging clinic in 2008.

In 2003, Forgione was fired from the Boca Raton Police Department after admitting to using anabolic steroids for almost a decade.

In 2008, Forgione pleaded guilty to charges related to the sale of anabolic steroids and human growth hormone (HGH) through Infinity Longevity anti-aging clinic and his ‘wellness referral service.’ The indicted resulted out of the Operation Which Doctor investigation led by the Albany County District Attorney in New York. Man Pleads Guilty to Selling Steroids with Fake Prescription Labels

Michael Wozny pleaded guilty to possessing anabolic steroids with the intent to distribute. An investigation by the local sherriff’s department, the FDA Office of Criminal Investigation, the Department of Justice and the U.S. Postal Inspection service uncoveredapproximately one kilogram of steroid powder after a search warrant was executed at his residence in November 2007. Wozny allegedly sold various oral steroid pills in bottles containing fake prescription labels. [Read more…]

Bodybuilders in the United States are often envious of the steroid laws in the United Kingdom where bodybuilders are permitted to import and possess anabolic steroids for personal use.
