Super-heavyweight champion Drew “Big Country” Smith was caught up in the aftermath of the “Operation Bulk-Up” steroid investigation. New Zealand Bodybuilder Caught Importing Steroids While Already Facing Steroid Charges
Competitive bodybuilder Phil Musson was caught trying to import anabolic steroids and performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs) into New Zealand last month. The steroid bust would have been bad enough on its own. IFBB Pro Bodybuilder Greg Doucette Busted With Large Quantity of Anabolic Steroids
It was the best of times and the worst of times for Greg Doucette. The bodybuilder had recently been awarded a Pro Card by the International Federation of Bodybuilders (IFBB). Doucette won the light heavyweight division at the 2012 Canadian National Bodybuilding Championships on August 18, 2012. Bodybuilder-Powerlifter Andy Fiedler Sentenced to No Steroids and No Alcohol
Andy Fiedler, a former competitive powerlifter and national-level bodybuilder, was sentenced to five years of probation and 500 hours of community service for his involvement with anabolic steroids. United States District Judge Patrick J. Schiltz also prohibited Fiedler from drinking alcohol and using drugs (steroids) as a condition of his probation. But Fiedler was able to avoid imprisonment. Arnold Scharzenegger claimed that his late mother-in-law once commissioned a report documenting the effects of anabolic steroids on fertility. Eunice Shriver, the mother of Maria Shriver, was so concerned about her daughter not being pregnant after almost three years of marriage to the champion bodybuilder, that she presented her daughter with a “scientific briefing” on the side effects of steroids with particular emphasis on the effect on fertility.
