Mixed martial artist Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal was suspended by the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) for nine months and fined $39,000 for a positive steroid test result. Lawal tested positive for the anabolic steroids drostanolone aka Masteron at the “Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Jardine” event on January 7, 2012. Lawal denied intentionally using steroids.
Lawal blamed the positive Masteron steroid test result on the use of a tainted dietary supplements – “S-Mass Lean Gainer” by Steel Body Productions – that he purchased at a Max Muscle store. The “S-Mass Lean Gainer” label listed the two synthetic steroids more commonly known as Superdrol (methyldrostanolone) and Promagnon (chloromethylandrostenediol or CMA).
Lawal reacted to the news of the punishment meted out by the NSAC from his Twitter account this week. He called NSAC Commissioner Pat Lundvall a “racist bitch” in response to her condescending treatment of Lawal at the steroid hearing. Lundvall questioned Lawal’s ability to understand and read English.
“You signed this (application) that you filled out, did you not?” Lundvall asked Lawal. “And you understand English? And you read English?”
Lawal respectively answered these questions at the hearing. However, he was much less reserved on Twitter after the NSAC announced its punishment for the doping violation.
“I honestly feel like Lundvall was a racist bitch asking me if I can read or speak english. Go on somewhere with that bullshit bitch!” responded Lawal.
To make matters worse for Lawal, Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker decided to release Lawal from his contract based on the suspension by the NSAC and Lawal’s subsequent reaction.
