New York Yankees General Manager Knew Players Used Steroids According to Mistress

Louise Neathway (aka Louise Meanwell) has alleged that New York Yankees General Manager Brian Cashman intentionally mislead federal investigators about his knowledge of steroid use by the club’s players according to the New York Daily News. Neathway was the purported mistress of Cashman since April 2010.

Chris Giglio, a spokesman for Cashman, has questioned the credibility of Neathway’s steroid accusations given that she currently faces felony charges of grand larceny, stalking and aggravated harrassment by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office.

“These claims are complete and utter fiction, the latest installment of a carefully concocted campaign of harassment now spewing from a jail cell by a person who is being held on serious criminal felony charges of harassment and extortion,” said Giglio.

The New York Daily News obtained emails sent to the United States Atorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York and Federal Bureau of Investigations agent Brian Jacob. Neathway claims to have evidence providing “specific details” of what Cashman knew about his baseball players’ steroid use and when he knew it.

The 36-year-old British national has a history of harrassing former lovers but Cashman also has a history of cheating on his wife according to the New York Post.

Mary Cashman filed for divorce from her husband the day after Neathway was arrested.

Neathway once had a “Facebook flame war” with Cashman’s ex-mistress blaming her for destroying Cashman’s marriage.

“She’s a slug and a home wrecker who tore apart that family,” she wrote. “I would never do that to anyone.”

Her tone changed after her own secret extramarital affair with Cashman unraveled.

“He’s a womanizer caught with his pants down with multiple women, and he was scared his life would unravel,’ she said. “And that is why I am here.”

Neathway remains in jail pending a $200,000 bail.
