A SWAT team raided the home of a personal trainer and his wife in a steroid bust in January of this year that was described by the local sheriff as “shock and awe“. The Collier County Sheriff’s Office’s Vice and Narcotics Bureau seized more than 200 vials of suspected anabolic steroids which they valued at approximately $20,000. Steroid charges against Nicholas Troemner and his wife Veronica were pending the results of the lab analysis of the suspected steroids by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
The results of the lab analysis were completed this month and confirmed that the seized vials did indeed contain anabolic steroids. The personal trainer was subsequently re-arrested and charged with eight counts of steroid possession and one count of possession of anabolic steroids with intent to sell.
Veronica Troemner did not escape steroid charges after the Sheriff’s Office found two vials of steroids in her bedroom dresser drawer hidden under her undergarments. Based on the two steroid bottles found with her panties, authorities decided to charge her with two counts of possession of anabolic steroids.
