Selling anabolic steroids for bodybuilding purposes is illegal in the United States. Individuals who choose to deal steroids are taking significant legal risks with their participation in the androgen black market. There are a few things that are not advisable for steroids dealers if they want to avoid getting caught by law enforcement.
It is good for steroid dealers to keep a low profile. For example, steroid dealers should avoid violating any traffic rules that will bring the attention of cops. If you are a steroid dealer and you get pulled over for speeding or some other traffic violation, you shouldn’t drive around smoking pot with your friend(s). Instead of simply receiving a traffic citation, the officer may bring in the drug-sniffing dogs to confirm that that smell coming out of your car is indeed marijuana.
So, you get a speeding ticket and you get caught with a personal supply of reefer? Bad just went to worse. It’s not necessarily the end of your steroid dealing career since I’m sure you keep all your illegal steroids, your steroids price list, your customer list and business ledger in a secure location perhaps even a safe.
Unfortunately, all these precautions are for naught if you keep the safe in the same car in which you were smoking pot with your friend as you were speeding down the highway past a traffic cop who is having long and boring day.
These may seem like common sense things not to do when you are a steroid dealer. Then again, this article would not have been written if there wasn’t someone out there who made these mistakes…
Like maybe some guy named Dave in Arizona…
At 10:45 a.m., YCSO deputies stopped a silver Pontiac sedan driven by Johnson for a traffic violation on I-17 north of Cordes Junction.
After determining there might be contraband inside the car, deputies called for a K9, which alerted on the exterior of the car, and deputies detained Johnson and Alcala, said Dwight D’Evelyn, spokesman for the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office.
When deputies searched the car, they found a plastic baggie of marijuana inside a cup, two marijuana pipes inside a jacket, a backpack belonging to Alcala and a safe with four bottles/vials of steroids/testosterone each labeled at 10 ml, syringes stored with the bottles and a ledger documenting steroid quantities and pricing in amounts over $3,800, as well as personal items linking Johnson to the safe’s contents, D’Evelyn said.
