Charlie Sheen, the star of Two and a Half Men, has been all over the airwaves lately appearing on the Today Show, 20/20, Good Morning America, Piers Morgan Tonight, Howard Stern and TMZ within a matter of days. He has provided entertainment that the public has eagerly consumed filled with amusing and nonsensical quotes. The quote about having “tiger blood” has been one of the more memorable.
“I’m different. I have a different constitution, I have a different brain, I have a different heart. I got tiger blood, man.”
The writers at Esquire, along with millions of viewers, wanted to know the identity of this mysterious “tiger blood”. Apparently, even Charlie Sheen didn’t have the answer. He told Access Hollywood, “I don’t know. It’s blood that flows through me that I can feel.”
The writers at Esquire decided to do their own internet research. The first thing they discovered was that Tiger Blood was a brand of anabolic steroids.
So what is tiger blood, exactly? It’s just the blood that happens to run through a tiger’s body. Oh, and it’s also the name of a brand of anabolic steroids used to build muscle.
It was only a matter of time before someone, somewhere linked Charlie Sheen’s bizarre and eccentric behavior to anabolic steroids. After all, steroids are regularly blamed for ‘roid rage‘ and sometimes even for ‘bad driving‘; why not blame them for the enigma that is Charlie Sheen?
Esquire was kind enough to provide a link to the Tiger Blood Pharmaceuticals website but did not explore the various Tiger Blood products that would most likely explain Sheen’s eccentricity e.g. Sustblood, Decablood, Testblood, Boldablood, Stanblood, Trenblood or Mastblood.
Fortunately, Esquire didn’t dwell on anabolic steroids as the culprit behind the Charlie Sheen disaster and quickly moved.
