Family Steroid Business Gets Police Detective in Trouble

Merseyside Police Detective Paul David Fletcher recently pleaded guilty to six counts involving conspiracy to supply anabolic steroids. Several members of the Fletcher family were also involved in the steroid dealing business. His son Paul Michael Fletcher pleaded guilty to six steroid charges. Super Granny Banned for Anabolic Steroid Use

The United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) has banned 68-year old grandmother Kathy Jager for two years. The popular masters track star tested positive to for anabolic steroids during a doping control at the 2011 USA National Masters Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Berea, Ohio on July 28, 2011. Germany Spies on Steroid Users with Trojan Horse

A German bodybuilder identified as “Dimitry A” is currently serving a 4-1/2 year prison sentence for the distribution of anabolic steroids.  He was arrested in February 2010 after German investigators used a Trojan horse program to infiltrate his personal computer.

This type of computer surveillance has been used as a last resort for serious threats posed by criminals who use cyber-communications such as militant terrorists (and now apparently steroid dealers). [Read more…]

Steroids Blamed for Bodybuilder’s Death as Olympics Approach

A 23-year old man died of unknown causes at Eastbourne District General Hospital shortly after being admitted. Lewis Allan was feeling ill in the early morning hours of October 10, 2011 and was rushed to the hospital.

Since Allan was a bodybuilder who had used anabolic steroids, Sussex Police are operating on the assumption that steroids caused or contributed to his death. Allan had reportedly gained over 50 pounds while using anabolic steroids during the past year. [Read more…]
