Barry Bonds Testicles and His Mistress’ Nude Playboy Pictorial
Barry Bonds has denied intentionally using anabolic steroids when he played baseball. The federal government wants to prove he is lying about his steroid use and they are using millions of dollars of American taxpayer money to prove it.
Their star witness may very well be Kimberley Bell, the former mistress of Barry Bonds. Bonds attorneys feel that if Bell is allowed to talk about their client’s head size, testicular size, and his temper, then it is only fair to allow jurors to see her nude Playboy pictorial. Bell appeared in the November 2007 issue of Playboy.
The government doesn’t like this and wants Playboy barred from the courtroom. [Read more…]

Anti-Doping Agency Working on Hair Testing to Detect Clenbuterol
The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) is considering the introduction of hair testing analysis in addition to blood and urine testing. Anti-doping experts hope that hair analysis can detect whether drugs such as clenbuterol were ingested intentionally or innocently via contaminated food products.
Tour de France champion Alberto Contador tested positive for infinitesimally small amounts of clenbuterol. The detected levels were unlikely to have any type of performance-enhancing benefit for the athlete. However, WADA has a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to clenbuterol so that any amount is sufficient to impose a ban. [Read more…]
The Doping Philosophy of Cyclist Christophe Bassons
Cyclist Christophe Bassons has never used banned performance-enhancing drugs. This isn’t an unusual proclamation from a pro cyclist in a sport where cyclists continually deny using PEDs in spite of the evidence against them. However, Bassons is different in that many people actually believe him.
Some people may find his decision to avoid PEDs as admirable and even “courageous”. However, Bassons refuses to claim any sort of moral superiority because of his choice. He does not condemn cyclists such as Floyd Landis who have admitted using drugs such as testosterone and erythropoietin in their quest to win the Tour de France. [Read more…]
Mike Piazza Used Steroids Based on Back Acne According to Sportswriter
Murray Chass continues to assert that “back acne” is conclusive proof of anabolic steroid use in Mike Piazza – and Barry Bonds. Chass noticed acne on Piazza’s back several years ago and has been convinced that Piazza was a steroid user ever since. While acne on the shoulders and back is often a side effects experienced by steroid users, most people who experience this problem do not use steroids; many steroid users, depending on the selection of steroids and individual susceptibility, don’t experience this side effect. Consequently, acne is a very poor method of determining whether an individual uses anabolic steroids due to the high number of false positive and false negatives. [Read more…]
Texas May Eliminate Failed Steroid Testing in High Schools
Officials in Texas are prepared to eliminate the embarrassingly expensive and ineffective UIL Anabolic Steroid Testing Program. In 2008, Texas passed legislation mandating drug-testing programs for anabolic steroids in students competing in extracurricular sports at public high schools. It was the largest and most costly steroid testing program in the history of high school sports. Several million dollars later, with little to show the taxpayers in the way of results, the legislature is currently unable to find funding to continue the program. [Read more…]
