College Cheerleader Pressured to Use Steroids to Be a Model

A University of Georgia cheerleader claimed that she was pressured to use anabolic steroids in order to obtain a fitness modeling contract. Anna Watson alleged that her modeling agent recommended the “legal steroid” Anavar to help her achieve her goal of gaining fifty pounds of muscle. Minor League Baseball Player Tests Positive for Three Different Steroids

Dustin Richardson was an obscure, 26-year old left-handed pitcher who most recently played in Minor League Baseball. Sure, he played 29 games in the Major Leagues for Boston Red Sox in 2009 and 2010. But that probably won’t be what makes him famous in the annals of baseball history. Even the fact that he tested positive for steroids isn’t too unusual in the minor leagues. West Germany Accepted Steroids as Necessary Evil in Sports

Researchers at Humboldt University and the University of Muenster have completed a 500-page historical report about the use of anabolic steroids and performance-enhancing drugs by Olympic athletes in West Germany. Biggest College Steroid Users May Be Lacrosse Players According to Bloomberg

It is not often that lacrosse and steroids are mentioned together in the same news story.  But lacrosse players may be the biggest users of anabolic steroids in college sports according to a Bloomberg report regarding the latest survey results of athletes participating in the National Collegiate Athletic Association’s (NCAA) 23 sanctioned sports. Jacked Up French Cyclist Tests Positive for Seven Steroid Metabolites

Alexandre Dougnier, an amateur French cyclist, tested positive for at least 12 banned substances, including at least 7 steroid metabolites, at a race in Aubervilliers (France) in May 2011. The teenage cyclist was banned for three years from competition in what may be a record for an athlete caught using the most banned substances. [Read more…]

Ryan Braun Accepts MVP Award Under Adversity of Steroid Cloud

Milwaukee Brewers’ Ryan Braun accepted his National League Most Valuable Player Award at the annual Baseball Writers Association of America awards dinner in spite of the fact that he faces a 50-game suspension for using anabolic steroids. Quinton “Rampage” Jackson: MMA Fighters Who Use Steroids are Not True Fighters

Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Mo “King Mo” Lawal have displayed a great deal of animosity for each other over the past few years.  Lawal hasn’t taken kindly to being called “Queen Mo” among other things by Jackson. Lawal summed up the state of their relationship when he told The MMA Hour that “I don’t like him, he don’t like me!”

So it comes as no surprise that Jackson wouldn’t miss an opportunity to comment on “King Mo’s” positive steroid test. Lawal tested positive for Masteron during the post-fight drug screen at the “Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Jardine” event on January 7, 2012.  [Read more…]

Muhammad “King Mo” Lawal Tests Positive for Steroid Masteron

Another Strikeforce mixed martial artist tested positive for anabolic steroids this week. The Nevada State Athletic Commission announced that Muhammad “King Mo” Lawal tested positive for the anabolic steroids drostanolone at the “Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Jardine” event on January 7, 2012 at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Drostanolone is more commonly known amongst bodybuilders and athletes by its trade name Masteron. Lawal went on recored denying the use of steroids. [Read more…]
