Baseball Hall of Fame Loses Credibility If Steroid Users Not Included
Rafael Palmeiro thinks that the Baseball Hall of Fame loses credibility if it fails to include two baseball players linked to anabolic steroids. Palmeiro would consider it a great honor if he were elected to the Hall of Fame but he has accepted that he will likely never be inducted into Cooperstown because of his positive steroid test for Winstrol. Chen Zhanghao, a former top physician for the Chinese Olympic team, told the international press that he has long suspected Michael Phelps of using anabolic steroids. Carl Lewis, the former 100-meter champion and multiple Olympic gold medalist, expressed his skepticism about the performances of Usain Bolt four years ago at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. He made thinly veiled accusations that Bolt was doping with steroids or some other performance-enhancing drug (PED) in an interview with the British newspaper The Telegraph. Victor Conte has traveled to London for the 2012 Summer Olympics. The last time he went to the Olympics, he was to help provide anabolic steroids to some of the top American athletes. John Leonard, a top American swimming coach and the current executive director of the World Swimming Coaches Association, did everything he could to suggest that a new 16-year old swimming sensation from China was guilty of doping with banned performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs).
