USADA Formally Accuses Lance Armstrong of Using Steroids and hGH

The United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) has formally accused multiple Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong of using anabolic steroids and human growth hormone (hGH). Steroid Intoxication Blamed for Death of Bodybuilder

A 26-year old Bulgarian bodybuilder, who worked out regularly and happened to use anabolic steroids, died shortly after he was admitted to the Naval hospital in Varna. The man reported feeling sick and experiencing difficulty in breathing. The bodybuilder allegedly stacked oral and injectable steroids in a quest to build muscle. He was found to have an enlarged heart and blood clots in his lungs and legs. However, Bulgarian doctors have blamed his death on “steroid intoxication.” [Read more…]

Ben Johnson: Using Steroids Was “Right Thing to Do”

Disgraced Canadian sprinter Ben Johnson believed that using anabolic steroids as an elite Olympic sprinter was “the right thing to do”.  Johnson made the comments during an interview with journalist and author Richard Moore. Menlo Park Bodybuilder / Personal Trainer Busted for Steroids and Recreational Drugs

A Menlo Park personal trainer was busted for selling anabolic steroids and a variety of recreational drugs after Homeland Security agents intercepted a package containing 499 grams of anabolic steroids and 4,374 tablets of Xanax. The steroid and Xanax shipment was shipped to a private mail box (PMB) address at the UPS Store in Menlo Park. The private mail box rental belonged to Perry Mosdromos.  [Read more…]

Domestic Distributor for Biotech Pharmaclinico Busted in New Hampshire

A February 2010 winner of the Bodybuilding.com Teen Transformation of the Week has been arrested for the possession of anabolic steroids with the intent to distribute. Mark Ferrara has battled the extremes of being overweight and anorexia as a teenager but his most difficult battle may involve  charges of steroid distribution. Ferrara was arrested after he unwittingly told undercover agents working with the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office that he was in possession of a “certain quantity” of anabolic steroids as well as human growth hormone (hGH). WWE Randy Orton Suspended for Dianabol

Professional wrestler Randy Orton has reportedly tested positive for an anabolic steroid in a steroid test administered under World Wrestling Entertainment’s Talent Wellness Program. The violation represents the second offense for Orton since the Wellness Policy took effect. Entertainers are suspended for 30 days for the first offense and 60 days for the second offense. NPC Ohio Bodybuilding Champion Busted for Selling Steroids

The winner of the 2009 NPC Ohio State Bodybuilding Championship has been been indicted by a Warren County grand jury for trafficking anabolic steroids. NPC bodybuilder Drew Smith was charged with thirteen felony counts of drug trafficking (steroids) in various degrees and one first degree felony count of engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity. Dave Henderson Didn’t Use Steroids Because He Had “Good Parents”

Dave “Hendu” Henderson, the former Major League Baseball outfielder who spent time playing for the Oakland Athletics between 1988 and 1993, doesn’t think any anabolic steroids should be voted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. Henderson appeared on “The Wheelhouse with John Lund”, a sports talk radio show in San Francisco.
